Man killed in multi-vehicle crash after running red light ID’d by medical examiner

The crash occurred just before 9:30 p.m., Friday, in the 9400 block of Culebra Road.

Adam Al-Rafati, the driver of a silver Infiniti G 37, crashed into two other vehicles before he was taken to the hospital.

According to the ME, Al-Rafati died from blunt force injuries he sustained in the wreck.

One man is dead after running a red light and causing a crash on the city’s West Side Friday night, according to San Antonio police.

The crash happened just before 9:30 p.m., Friday, in the 9400 block of Culebra Road.

Police said a silver Infiniti G 37 was heading southbound on Culebra when it ran a red light. A maroon Chrysler was pulling out of a gas station in the area at the same time and was sideswiped by the Infiniti.

The Infiniti was redirected toward traffic and struck a westbound green truck head-on.

The driver of the Infiniti, a 30-year-old man, was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.

The other two drivers involved were uninjured.
